Creating a Custom Export for use in El Paso, TX - FusionMLS

  • Once you are in the results screen of a residential search click, 'Grid Manager' (it's on the same row as the 'Map' icon).
  • Select 'Create New Grid'.
  • Name the grid "TrendSheet".
  • Click on each of the following categories individually and click  the 'right arrow' button after each one to move them to the right window. Once you are done, the categories will appear on the right side of the window and they must be in the same order as below:
    • MLS #
    • Status
    • List Price
    • Sold/Lease Price
    • Status Change Date
    • List Date
    • Sold/Lease Date
    • Days on Market
    • Pending/Contract Date
    • Special Notes
    • Apx SqFt-Main
    • Style
    • Year Built
    • Pool
  • Once the list is complete and in the above order click 'Save' and you are done

How to Export your Data

  • Verify that the search you are exporting includes every type of listing (active, contingent, pending, closed, expired, canceled, etc excluding leased) for at least one year back from the effective date you're using. The further back you go, the more likely you are to include pertinent data. I recommend 1.5 years.
  • In the results screen of your search click 'Tools' then 'Export Data' (there are two 'Tools' buttons so make sure you click the lower one that is on the same row as the 'Map' and 'Grid Manager' icon).
  • Select 'Export Data'.
  • Verify that 'All Records' is selected.
  • Under 'Data Export Format' choose 'Tab Delimited'.
  • Do not select 'Compress File'.
  • For 'Select Export Grid Format' choose TrendSheet.
  • Check the box to 'Include Column Headers' and click 'OK'.
  • Save the file by whichever file name and into whichever folder you prefer (depending on browser settings you may not be given the option to choose the file name/location).

The last thing to do is copy and paste the data from the export into TrendSheet. If you need help with this please check out our video on the topic:
