Creating a Custom Export for use in the GAMLS system in the Atlanta, Georgia area. ***This works with REInsight but not GAMLS Pro***

  • Once you are in the results of a search click on the 'Customize' button that looks like a gear and is just above the first listing shown in the list.
  • Verify at the top of the window that pops up that 'Customize Grid View' is selected.
  • At the bottom left of the window type in 'TrendSheet' for the name of this custom view.
  • Remove all of the fields on the right side so that you start with a blank window on the right.
  • Select the following fields from the left side list and add them to the right window (list). Be sure to include all fields and they must be in the order shown:
    • Listing #
    • Status
    • List Price
    • Sold Price
    • Status Date
    • List Date
    • Closed Date
    • Market Time
    • Due Diligence Date
    • Special Conditions
    • Total Finished Area
    • Stories
    • Year Built
    • Exterior Features
  • Verify that all boxes to the right of the fields just added are unchecked/blank.
  • Verify that the checkbox at the bottom for 'Grid Default' is unchecked/blank.
  • Click 'Save'
  • When you are back on the screen with the results of the search the system may change your view to the new 'TrendSheet' view but you can change it back to whichever view you prefer. It does not need to be on the 'TrendSheet' view.

How to Export your Data

  • Verify that the search you are exporting includes every type of listing (active, contingent, pending, closed, expired, canceled, etc excluding leased) for at least one year back from the effective date you're using. The further back you go, the more likely you are to include pertinent data. I recommend 1.5 years.
  • Once you complete a search and you're on the search results page click the 'Export' button at the bottom toward the left.
  • At the bottom of the window that appears click on 'Saved Views' and select 'TrendSheet' from the drop-down list.
  • Click 'Export'.
  • Save the file by whichever file name and into whichever folder you prefer (depending on browser settings you may not be given the option to choose the file name/location).

The last thing to do is copy and paste the data from the export into TrendSheet. If you need help with this please check out our video on the topic:
